The production designer of the play. Famous set designer.
Graduated from Saint Petersburg’s Academy of Arts n.a. Repin in 1989 (Theatre Department,workshop of Professor E. Kochergin).
From 1989 to 2000 worked as a set designer at the Perm Academic Drama Theatre.
From 2000 to 2011 was the Chief artist of the Perm Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
From September 2011 to August 2022 was the Chief artist of the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Has designed more than 80 productions, including the operas “Lolita” by R. Shchedrin,
“Christ” by A. Rubinstein (first production in Russia, directed by G. Isaakyan).
Carried out
joint works with the funds of choreography of J. Balanchine and J. Robbins – “Serenade”,
“Ballet Imperial” (“Golden Mask” for the best ballet performance),
“The Seasons” by G. Verdi (choreographer Bart Cook), “Bestiary” by A. Parin (directed by G. Isaakyan) in Lokkum,
Germany.
The Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre designed the ballet
“Tango…Tango…Tango” to the music of A. Piazzolla(choreographer K. Schmorgoner), the opera”Madame Butterfly” by G. Puccini (directed by Dieter Marin Kögi – Switzerland),
opera “”La Traviata by G. Verdi (directed by Carlo Antonio de Lucia – Italy).
On the same stage of the Samara Opera and Ballet Theatre designed the opera “Madame Butterfly” by J. Puccini (directed by Dieter Martin Kegui -Switzerland), opera “La Traviata” by G. Verdi (directed by Carlo Antonio de Lucia – Italy), opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet (directed by G. Isaakian, Moscow), the opera “The Queen of Spades” by P.Tchaikovsky (directed by Manjavidze, Minsk), the opera “The Love for Three Oranges” by S. Prokofiev (directed by N. Dyachenko, Moscow), the opera “The Story of Kai and Gerda” by S. Bunevich (directed by I. Fadeev, Moscow), etc.
As a guest stage designer, designed the performances in different cities of Russia – Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Magnitogorsk, Krasnodar, Moscow, etc.
For the past two years has taught a course “The Basics of Scenography for Directors”at Perm State Institute of Culture.5
